There is a story in one of the recent issues of Dwell Magazine highlighting a pretty unique system for passive cooling, and I think it might be interesting to see if we could incorporate this into our design. I don't know if the costs would be worth it, or if there would be space for it in the house, but I think it might be something we could at least look at. This is exactly the kind of stuff we want to do. When I wrote about stack effect cooling this is one of the methods I had in mind. All we need to do is demonstrate, with a little number crunching, the system is cost effective. Given Charlotte’s climate, that should not be too difficult.
